It is recommended that you immediately stop using the specified product and return it to any PetSmart store for a full refund. To receive a full refund, please bring your receipt or a copy of this email to your local PetSmart store. Our store associates can help you find a replacement. It’s not due to “mold contamination”. The actual problem is that a preservative in the treats was changed, and there is an increased likelihood that the treats could mold over time. If you don’t see any mold, the treats are fine and are not going to harm your pets. People are freaking out about the word “recall” when the company has actually said it’s a voluntary withdrawal. It’s about product quality and shelf life, not a “contamination” issue on the treats. Please spread the word with accurate info next time. There is no recall.
